Destiny 2 Director Apologizes for State of the Game Blog, Promises Free Content and New PvP Development Team
Did you catch that surprise Joe Blackburn’s Apology Video message, our fearless game director posted? Yeah, he firstly popped up out of nowhere, looking a bit like a Warlock caught without his Nova Bomb, at last, apologized for that recent State of the Game blog post. We all know it fell short, didn’t hit the mark, a bit like a misfired rocket in a Control match, right?

Blackburn confessed it wasn’t up to Bungie’s high bar. Moreover, the team was grinding hard on The Final Shape expansion (can’t wait for that!) and the blog post didn’t get the TLC it deserved. Just shows you, even the pros need to remember to juggle their quests properly!
PvP Gets a Power-Up and Eververse Armor for Free!
But hey, it wasn’t all mea culpas and somber faces. Blackburn dropped some exciting news for all you PvP enthusiasts out there!
Blackburn is gearing up to form a new, streamlined PvP strike team. Sounds cool, right? This team’s mission is also to turbo-charge the Player-versus-Player mode and roll out fresh content at lightning speed.
On top of that, he dropped a hint about a free map pack slated for 2024. This isn’t just some run-of-the-mill update, guys! Therefore, it’s gonna flip the script big time and breathe some fresh air into our favorite PvP smackdowns.
And here’s the cherry on top, Guardians. Remember that slick Eververse armor set from Season 22 you had your eyes on but your glimmer couldn’t stretch to? It’s gonna be FREE! Yeah, you heard that right. Blackburn’s way of making up for the lack of new Ritual armor sets. He assured us they’re still committed to dishing out cool and unique armor, but their sights are set on high-end game gear, think raid and dungeon tier.
The Destiny 2 community has given Blackburn’s video message a thumbs up. Additionally, we’re totally digging the straight-up honesty, the hype about new stuff coming our way, and man, the dedication to leveling up our PvP gaming? It’s awesome! We’ve been shouting out for more open chats, and it seems Bungie has heard us loud and clear. They’re also stepping up to the plate!
