Summary (STRAY)
It’s 2022, and people are waiting for a game where you can relax. Then suddenly, a game developed by “BlueTwelve Studio” and “Annapurna Interactive” has published “Stray”. Everyone knew Annapurna Interactive’s working on STRAY game, but didn’t know the release date.
In this game, you are a cat. Yes, the character you are playing is a cat, not a human or robot. We all love cats, and we love how they live their life. The BlueTwelve Studios made this third-person cat adventure game with such precision, murky environments and the animation of the main character (Cat) is so realistic.
As far as games are concerned, this one is a little different from the rest. This game involves a solo adventure where you are given tasks to accomplish. By completing these tasks, you can complete the story mode. There is no doubt that BlueTwelve Studios crafted this masterpiece.
Right now, the most hyped game on Steam is ‘Stray.’ Annapurna Interactive and BlueTwelve Studio also announce STRAY video game for PS5. Please remember that STRAY is not available on Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
The story of ‘Stray’ (Spoiler Alert)
If you are planning to buy the game or still playing, please skip this part. The story of ‘Stray’ is pretty decent, but not the best (Personal Opinion). The storyline was kept as exciting as possible by BlueTwelve Studios to keep you interested in playing the game. Here you will find the video game sensation. If you do, you might be able to help some real-life stray cats.
Story Explanation
First Part
BlueTwelve Studios designed this game where our main character is the cat, let’s call him Rick. Rick was first introduced on a stormy night as they snuggled down with his family. Rick (The Cat) and his family live above an abandoned sewer channel. Nature has taken over the sewer system. It is covered with a variety of flora. After the storm in the morning, Rick (the cat) and his family decided to do some food hunting. But a tragedy happened while looking for food.
Rick (The Cat) falls into the sewer while jumping on a pipe. Rick (The Cat) was injured, terrified, and passed out. After waking up in the tunnel, a door opened. It wasn’t long before Rick (The Cat) found himself in the seedy underbelly of a decaying, Kowloon walled cybercity. Now he has to escape this detailed neon-lit alleys of long-forgotten city.
Zurk
When he wandered around the area, he saw some little one-eyed creatures named Zurk. It eats or harms by biting. Rick understood it was not friendly, so he ran away. There were signs like ‘help’ and arrows indicating where to proceed. He followed those signs and reached an apartment.
Who opened the sewer door and helped him escape from Zurk was the same person. When he reached the apartment, he saw some notes on the television asking for help. He revived the scientist in robotic form after completing a few tasks. The robot’s name was ‘B12‘.
At first, flying robot B12 couldn’t remember its memory. After reviving B12, Rick (The Cat) continues his journey. It appeared that he had ended up in a place known as a slum. There, he found that the residents were robots instead of humans.
At first, the robots were in a state of apprehension when they encountered Rick (The Cat) in the Stray game. Because they had seen Rick (The Cat) for the first time, they granted Rick (The Cat) to enter the slum or village on the condition not to eat anyone.
The Companion Bots
In the city, there were no humans. Humans created these robots or companion bots to be simple servants. They would clean, cook and take care of the household. But when the humans vanished, leaving only the robots behind, they evolved using human evolution and social structures. Their AI became self was. They also developed a class system. The working class lived in the slums. A more affluent robot lived in a luxurious apartment in midtown in Stray game.
Reaching the Mid-Town
To return to where Rick (The Cat) came from, he had to collect some information. Everyone in the slums knew nothing, except for one group called ‘The Outsiders.’ The outsider group had four members, but Momo was the only one in the slums.
When Rick (The Cat) finds Momo, he feels frustrated and angry at losing contact with the other member. To regain communication with others, Momo has to restart the network tower. So, Rick (The Cat) ventured on a life-threatening journey and successfully recovered the network tower.
In addition, Momo can share with others, and he finds that one of the members, ‘Doc,’ was stuck in an experiment. Rick (The Cat) also helped Doc to return to the slum and helped him reunite Doc with his son. And Doc installed a light that killed the Zurk. Likewise, Momo contacted ‘ZBAL TAZAR’ and was informed he had found a way to climb. However, he would have to crawl up the sewer to access it.
Momo helped
As a result, Momo helped Rick (The Cat) reach the entrance, and Momo could not go along with Rick (The Cat) because there was a problem with the door. When Rick (The Cat) entered the sewer, he saw Zurk was evolving too fast, and there were eggs everywhere. Rick got out of the sewer using B12’s map, but Zurk injured B12.
Again, Rick (The Cat) helped him. Rick has reached a place called ‘Ant Village.’ The village is shaped like a large tree. Initially, it was built around an old pillar. In this village, Rick (The Cat) discovered ZBAL TAZAR, the third member of ‘The Outsiders’, but before that, B12 had regained all of his memories as a scientist trapped in the system for 400 years. He learned the robotic language from the network. His body was still in the lab.
Can they escape?
Rick (The Cat) and the Robots will be able to reach the outside world with B12. After this, they met the third member of ‘The Outsiders’ group. ZBlTazar told Rick (The Cat) that his journey had ended. So, he referred to the group’s last member, ‘Clementine,’ and told them that she had a plan to reach outside. They need to find Clementine in Mid-town and show her the picture of Zbal and Clementine. Afterward, Rick (The cat) left for Midtown. Rick started climbing the old building.
The Last Part
Finally, in Stray game, Rick (The Cat) reached Mid-town. And he started searching for Clementine. Rick (The Cat) saw that there were drones everywhere. According to B12, humans created drones to keep the streets safe, which are now used by the police, also known as the ‘Peace Maker.’
As a result, Clementine is hiding in her apartment from both the police and the drones. When Rick (The Cat) entered the apartment, Clementine rushed and attacked Rick (The Cat), but after showing her the picture, Clementine told them the plan. But to make the plan work, they must take the subway to the upper level.
But the Subway is shut down and requires an atomic battery located in a deeply secured area of Necro Company to run again. To enter the company, Clementine told someone to take Rick (The Cat) inside the company.
Now what…
Blizzard is going to take Rick (The Cat) inside the company. After bypassing all the security systems, Rick managed to get the Atomic battery. But when he returns to Clementine’s apartment, Rick finds a note saying he is out with Blazzered in the bar. After heading to the bar, Rick (The Cat) find out that Clementine is tied with a rope.
Blizzard had snitched them to the police. Clementine and Rick both got caught and taken to jail. But somehow, Rick (The Cat) managed to escape and also helped Clementine. B12 was also captured and locked in an electric cell, but Clementine helped Rick (The Cat) get B12 out of there. They managed to get out of jail with the battery. Clementine stole a vehicle, drove Rick (The Cat) and B12 to the subway, and left them there. He could not walk with them because the police were chasing him.
After starting the train, Rick (The Cat) finally reached the upper level where the Rich humans lived. But for some reason, the upper-level robot was not able to evolve. Rick (The Cat) have to open the big door to get outside, which have a seal.
After Rick (The Cat) find the control room, and with the help of B12, Rick (The Cat) could open the door, but B12 suddenly got attacked by the machine and fell. Despite falling, B12 was still able to open the door.
After B12 successfully opened the door, Rick (The Cat) walked outside. It is still unclear whether he reunited with his family.
Review based on personal opinion
Story/Plot
The most gamer plays the game for the story. Rating the plot is tricky because some may love the plot, and others may not. It’s based on someone’s taste. So After playing the whole game, I felt the story could be better. It’s a typical story.

Graphics and Animation
Graphics
In this game, there is no RTX mode. But the quality of texture and detail was exemplary. Well, I have to say I didn’t find any bugs while playing this game. I pinned some pictures of graphics quality below:

The animation of this game is superb, and it is perfect. When I played the game, it felt like I was a cat. In the game, the main character does everything that a real cat does, like sleeping on your chest, Carpet scratching, etc.

Conclusion
Stray game price is $11.99 without tax on Steam. Therefore, it is not very expensive. Moreover, consider the game’s size, story, and graphics.
