Today, we’ll cover everything you need to know about completing the “Darkness in the Light Destiny 2” quest quickly and easily. It is one of the Exotic quests. This quest is hosted by the Drifter and is required to obtain the Malfeasance hand cannon, considered one of the game’s most well-balanced and dominating hand cannons. To complete this quest, you will need access to the Forsaken pack.

How to Comple Darkness in the light Destiny 2?
Today I am going to tell you how to complete Darkness in the light Destiny 2 quest step by step. So bear with me if you want to complete it in the easiest way.
1) Acquire Seething Heart:
Darkness in the light Destiny 2 starts once you have acquired a Seething Heart, which can be obtained by defeating a Prime Evil within Gambit. This is a random drop from the Primeval, but after several adjustments to its drop rate, Bungie claims that players now have a significantly escalating chance of getting the Seething Heart to drop each time they defeat a Prime Evil.

2) Head back to Tower:
Once you have obtained the Seething Heart, you’ll need to head back to the Tower, where you will exchange the Seething Heart to the Drifter for the “Light in the Darkness” quest.
3) Defeat 25 Taken Bosses:
The first objective of the quest is to defeat 25 Taken bosses within the Dreaming City. You will want to head to the Affiliate Rest Law Sector for the most efficient means of completing this. Once you’ve reached the Law Sector, you can speed run through, ignoring all ads and going straight for the boss. A good speed run attempt should take at most a minute, which will see you finishing this first objective in roughly 30 minutes.

4) Complete a special version of the Corrupted strike:
Once you have defeated 25 Taken bosses, your next objective will have you complete a special version of the Corrupted strike. While you can complete this solo, running this with a team is highly suggested. The power level for this strike is 1350, but even Guardians exceeding 1500 can have difficulty with this strike. There won’t be any champions, but you must account for all three shield types.

Death won’t send you back to orbit, but several restricted zones within this strike will cause a wipe-on death. This is why some Guardians will easily complete this with a team. Most of the strike plays out just as it does in the normal version of the Corrupted, but once you have passed the room with two ogre bosses, you will branch off into a separate area within the strike. This will lead you to the final boss, who can be quite annoying. This Taken Phallus will chase you around the map and continuously try to boop you off, meaning that swords will be a great asset in this boss encounter.

- Best Way to defeat the Final Boss of “Corrupted Strike”
While staying mobile will be your best strategy here, you can utilize the back side of the up-raised rock wall to hide behind throughout this encounter. The boss and his accompanying ads won’t be able to reach you here, but you still want to watch your footing. You don’t want to fall off, and you don’t want to step out too far and get bumped off by the boss.

5) Win ten Gambit matches and dunk 400 motes:
Once defeating the Taken boss, the Drifter will need you to speak with him at the Tower. This is where he will provide you with the fifth step of the Light in the Darkness quest, which requires you to win ten Gambit matches and dunk 400 motes.

- Avoid losing Modes Lost:
There will be a penalty for modes lost, a reduction of two points for each moat lost. A penalty you will not want to endure more than once, I assure you. So to best overcome this hurdle, you should focus solely on moat collection and banking. You always want to avoid being caught with motes when an invader shows up, so be sure to dunk and dunk often, even if it’s just four or five motes at a time.

Without having any reduction in your progress, you’re looking at 400 motes. Once you’ve reached 100 percent, this will be locked in place. So, if you’re still in need of wins, you won’t have to worry about losing any progress on this portion of the step. You’re looking at between 8 and 10 matches to complete the first objective and at least ten matches to get ten wins.
Once you’ve gotten through this anxiety-ridden process of winning those ten matches and banking 400 motes, your next step will require you to defeat an enemy invader three separate times or defeat 25 guardians in total while in Gambit.
6) Defeat an enemy invader three separate times or Defeat 25 Guardian:
Compared to what this quest once required, this objective is quite easy. And since you will get credit for assisted kills, and since you get credit for kills your teammate gets while invading, you shouldn’t have too much difficulty completing this one. I would suggest supers like Nova Bomb and Golden Gun, along with heavy rocket launchers like Eyes of Tomorrow, Galahorn, or Truth, to succeed better at getting these kills. Once you’ve completed step six, you’ll need to head back to the Tower, where the Drifter will reward you with the Malfeasance exotic hand cannon.

And Thats how you can complete Darkness in the the Light and get your Exotic Malfeasance head cannon.

The Malfeasance hand cannon continues to be a top-tier hand cannon even in today’s sandbox, and with the likelihood of King’s Fall raid returning in season 18, the Malfeasance could be a great exotic weapon to get right now to be ready for that upcoming raid.
